Q: What happens if I do not meet the requirements for E-Access Checking?
A: Interest is not paid for that statement cycle.
Q: Can the interest change on my E-Access Checking account?
A: Yes. The interest rate can change daily at the bank’s discretion.
Q: Will E-Access Checking customers receive a 1099 reflecting interest earned over the year?
A: Yes
Q: If my account balance goes negative, will I still be able to qualify for interest during the statement cycle?
A: Yes, if the requirements are met.
Q: If I fail to meet the requirements during this statement cycle, can I still have a chance to qualify during the next statement cycle?
A: Yes, each month is viewed as a new requirement period.
Q: If I miss my requirements by only one POS transaction, can I call in and get my interest anyway?
A: No, interest is only given to customers who meet the requirements.
Q: What is the statement cycle for E-Access Checking?
A: Statement cycle is 15th of each month; however, the statement may drop 2 days before or after the 15th depending on the schedule.
Q: If I use my FNB&Trust Debit Card at an ATM, will that transaction count towards my requirements?
A: No. ATM/Cash withdrawals do not count towards this requirement. Only Debit card/point of sale transactions count.
Q: May I “carry forward” Debit Card transactions in excess of the required number to the next statement cycle?
A: No. Since there is no limit on the maximum number of transactions allowed, each month starts over the requirement cycle.
Q: If I don’t respond to the electronic agreement email, will I still earn interest?
A: No, you must respond to this email, only once, for your account to qualify for interest.
Q: Can I have an E-Access Checking account if I don’t own a computer?
A: Yes, as long as you have a valid e-mail account. Free e-mail accounts are available through several different websites. FNB&Trust has an Internet Banking Center at the Main branch in downtown Atmore for your Internet banking use. Additionally, public libraries have Internet access to help with this. Some free e-mail service companies are Hotmail and Yahoo.
Q: Is there a minimum balance requirement in order to receive my rewards?
A: FNB&Trust does not require a minimum balance as long as the requirements are met. In order to receive the stated APY, the average collected daily balance must be $.01.
Q: Will I be able to use my existing FNB&Trust MasterMoney Debit Card, checks, and account number with my E-Access Checking account or will they change?
A: All of your current checking account information will still be used. There is no need to change any of it. However, you will need to visit one of our personal bankers to sign a form to change your account to an E-Access checking account.
Q: Can I open multiple E-Access Checking accounts for the same address?
A: Yes. Customers can have as many E-Access Checking accounts as they want as long as they meet the requirements.
Q: Can an E-Access Checking account be used as a business account?
A: E-Access Checking is only available to consumers and sole proprietors.
Q: Is there a limit on the number or kind of transactions you can do on an E-Reward Checking account?
A: No. There is no limit at this time.
